We're partnering with HERA, a 501(c)(3) non-profit established in 2002 by rock climber turned healthcare advocate, Sean Patrick. The mission of the HERA Ovarian Cancer Foundation is to eliminate ovarian cancer by promoting H. Health, E. Empowerment, R. Research, and A. Awareness. Our fundraising efforts endow annual grants that we award to scientists and doctors with “outside the box” ideas investigating new directions in basic research, treatment, early detection, and prevention of ovarian cancer. By supporting promising M.D’s, Ph.D’s, and post-docs with innovative ideas, HERA seeks to both nurture the new approaches, and retain the talented scientists choosing to make a career of fighting ovarian cancer.
